New Student High School Laptop Options

This page is for new students entering high school (grades 9-11) (the student must be fully enrolled in order to be eligible to place a laptop order). Returning high school students should not use this page.

Option 2 laptops are no longer available for the 2024-2025 school year. All students who have not made their selection as of 8/5/2024 may choose only Option 1 or Option 3.

SAA high school students are required to own a laptop as a part of their standard high school equipment. To help parents offset this cost, SAA provides every incoming Freshman or newly enrolled Sophomore and Junior student a basic laptop as part of their tuition. We also offer parents the option of purchasing a laptop for their child and in return receive a tuition credit.

For the 2024-2025 school year, parents can choose from 3 options:

Option 1: Provide your own PC or Mac laptop (tablets not recommended). The laptop should meet or exceed the specifications of the SAA provided laptop, and should be equipped with a keyboard. In return, receive a $100 tuition credit per year for two consecutive years.

Option 2: Dell Latitude 3140, 11.6” Intel Pentium N200 CPU, with 8GB Ram, 256GB SSD and a 3-year Dell Basic Warranty and Accidental Damage Protection. This is the basic SAA provided laptop and has no cost to you.

Option 3: Apple 13″ Silver MacBook Air: M3 chip, 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, 4-year Apple Care Warranty. The cost of this upgraded laptop is $689.

Laptop selection is due by July 12, 2024. If Option 3 is selected, full payment must be made by July 12, 2024, in order for your laptop order to be placed.
